Camuflaje para un lugar muy específico

2018 | Drawings, mural | Various dimensions | Various media

During my stay in the Peruvian high jungle, for the shooting of Nehemías, I was motivated to draw by the overwhelming brown and green landscape that surrounded me at all times. Like fingerprints, these intricate earth and plant patterns are impossible to replicate, yet just as hard to distinguish from one another. The patterns in these drawings are of such density that could be as much a bird eye’s view of the jungle as a microscopic magnification of the particles of a plant.

Solo exhibition at Maisterravalbuena, Madrid, running from 17 November, 2018 through 19 January, 2019.
