Inspired by the most basic clothing displays of market vendors, these series of works explore the possibilities of creating non-anthropomorphic “bodies” to hold and twist textile pieces, taking distance from the fashion industry's standards. Extruding the sewing patterns’ geometrical lines, they grow from body parts into abstract sculptures. The word “Sydney” - borrowed from the name of a shop in Lima, Peru - is used in the titles as a person's name: a prototypical character with an eroding ambition to thrive their business. The glories and failures of this enterprise define the framework for a fable-like rhetoric.
